Keeping a simple ledger of staking and earn rewards per product
Rewards credited in small amounts across several products are easy to lose track of. A ledger format for recording earn and staking rewards from Binance, OKX, Bybit or Bitget, product by product.
Multiple exchanges | the reader's region | the reader's funding currency | fees, access and account safety
Earn and staking products often credit rewards in small amounts at regular intervals, sometimes daily. Across several products and platforms, those credits blend into your balance and become hard to separate. When you want to know how a product actually performed, or need records for an adviser, reconstructing the history from scattered entries can take a long time. A simple ledger, kept product by product, makes this straightforward. This guide explains a format that works for Binance, OKX, Bybit or Bitget. It gives no tax advice; consult a qualified professional for that.
One block per subscription
In a spreadsheet, create a block for each subscription: platform, product name, asset, start date, amount committed and any lock-up end date. Below it, record reward credits as they appear, or a weekly or monthly total if credits are very frequent. Keeping each subscription separate means you can see at a glance what each one produced, without having to untangle a combined balance.
Where to find the entries
Each platform shows reward credits in its own history, often in an earn or transaction section. Read the help centre to find the right page and check whether there is an export option. Some histories only cover a limited period, so export regularly. Save exported files in a folder organised by platform and year, with consistent file names.
Close each block properly
When you redeem or a term ends, record the date, the amount returned and the total rewards received. Compare that with the amount committed and the time it was held. Add a short note on anything unexpected, such as a delay or a change in terms. A closed block gives you a complete, easy-to-read record of that subscription.
Protect the records
The ledger contains financial information. Keep it on a protected device or in cloud storage with two-step verification and keep a backup. Do not store passwords, codes or API secrets in it. Review it monthly against your platform balances so that missing entries are noticed quickly rather than at the end of the year.

Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. Scenario checkpoint
- Create a separate block for each earn or staking subscription
- Record reward credits or periodic totals under the right subscription
- Export reward history regularly in case the platform limits how far back it goes
- Record the amount returned and total rewards when a subscription ends
- Check the ledger against platform balances every month
